Designed with Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center is plushly decorated, containing delicately painted ceilings, tiled mosaic floors, ornate metal railings and antique furniture. One of very few remaining atmospheric theaters in the United States, The Plaza gives audiences the unique illusion of being seated outdoors in a Spanish courtyard, with overhead ceiling stars reflecting the June Southwestern sky. As well as all this, the venue features a Mighty Wurlitzer Blaban III Organ, one of only six ever created. The organ has 1,071 pipes, with the ability to simulate 15 different instruments.
